This uncertainty pushes a lot of guys to simply opt out of the whole scene, waiting until they find someone they are absolutely sure likes them back, which could leave them standing to the side for quite a while.

Though it might sound like a broken record, confidence is the key element for anyone trying to make it in the dating world. This is especially true for men since a lot of the dating responsibility lies with them.

A self-assured man appears strong, reliable, and independent, which are all traits that women look for in a partner. Having genuine confidence also protects a guy against being crushed by rejection. A confident man takes rejection in stride, moving on to the next challenge in life.

It may sound a bit sissy, but taking a good long look at one’s self and liking what they see can drastically improve a man’s success rate in the dating world. Women are drawn to confidence and if a guy has enough of it, they might even inspire a woman to take on the more aggressive role and ask them out.

Balance is another key element since too much confidence easily turns into cockiness which is a tremendous turnoff for most women. A combination of humility and a strong sense of self is a winning mixture in the tumultuous and sometimes frightening world of flirting, dating, and love, and helps men succeed.
